DOJABA Member Spotlight Program

DOJABA has launched a Member Spotlight program to showcase Black excellence at the Department. Do you know a DOJABA attorney, investigator, paralegal, or support staff member who exemplifies the values and mission of the organization? Does this member embody “excellence?” A nominee does not have to walk on water or perform daily miracles. Our very existence, dedication and accomplishments within DOJ demonstrate service worth recognizing. There is only one requirement: The nominee must be a DOJABA member. This includes attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and other support staff. DOJABA will spotlight a member every other month.

DOJABA recognizes that the backbone of the Department is our support staff, so it is befitting that our first member spotlight is not an attorney. In May 2021, we celebrated and shined the spotlight on Kashia Adams, a Paralegal Specialist in the Disability Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division. Cheers to Kashia’s excellence!

We encourage for to nominate a DOJABA member for their achievements via the “DOJABA Member Spotlight” form. The selected member will be featured on DOJABA’s website and social media platform(s). Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. To nominate a DOJABA member or yourself, please visit: https://s.surveyplanet.com/Bqw8X5CGP.

If you have any questions about the DOJABA Member Spotlight program, please contact Ashley Chandler-Patterson at ashley.chandler-patterson@usdoj.gov and/or Angela Buckner at angela.buckner@usdoj.gov.
