UPDATE - DOJABA RISE Mentoring Program

DOJABA is pleased to announce the return of its mentoring program, DOJABA RISE.  The purpose of the RISE program is to elevate the competence, professionalism, and success of DOJABA members through positive mentoring relationships. The name RISE stands for mentoring Relationships, Instilling confidence, encouraging Success, and sharing Experiences.

The program goals include:

·        Providing an avenue for junior and seasoned attorneys to seek advice, guidance, and support from DOJABA attorneys and managers in a more casual relationship;

·        Allowing attorneys to discuss a variety of topics with their mentors including professional development, organizational culture, and personnel issues;

·        Creating an opportunity to develop collegial relationships and networking opportunities; and

·        Preparing DOJABA members for managerial and supervision roles within the Department.

Please see attached memo for more details on the RISE program and attached application to participate.  To encourage participation, we are extending the deadline. Applications must be submitted by January 22, 2021.  If you have any questions, contact DOJABA Assistant U.S. Attorney Representative, Dwight Draughon at dwight.draughon@usdoj.gov or DOJABA Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development Chair, Roberta Roberts at roberta.roberts@usdoj.gov.
