DOJABA Celebrates Women’s History Month – Black Women Leading in Law

Black Women Leading in Law – UDC David A. Clarke School of Law

Join the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law for an enriching experience at the Black Women Leading in Law event, where we celebrate our commitment to cultivating the professional identities of our students. This gathering pays homage to the trailblazing legacy of Jean Camper Cahn, the first Black woman to co-establish a law school.

Taking place at Heritage Hall the event promises an insightful interview with a featured leading attorney engaging in a dialogue with Dean Twinette Johnson.

In addition to the interview, the event will feature with live music, passed hors d’oeuvres, and signature beverages, creating a vibrant atmosphere for networking and camaraderie.

As a pioneer in clinical legal education, UDC Law has been instrumental in providing a legal foundation rooted in experiential learning and theory to students traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession.

Through mentorship, support, and encouragement, the entire UDC Law community collaborates to empower our students, shaping them into the next generation of advocates for justice. Join us in celebrating the intersection of history, progress, and leadership at Black Women Leading in Law.

This event will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM at Heritage Hall, UDC Student Center. The address is 4200 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008.
