New DOJABA Co-Chairs of the Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development Committee

We are very pleased to announce and welcome Jasmin Lott and Shaniqua Butler to the DOJABA Executive Council as a Co-Chairs of the Attorney Recruitment and Development Committee alongside Roberta Roberts.  Please welcome Jasmin and Shaniqua to the Executive Council!

 

Jasmin is a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section, where she enforces an anti-discrimination statute that prohibits employment discrimination based on immigration status or national origin. She joined the Department through the Attorney General’s Honors Program.  She obtained her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree in History from The University of Texas at Austin. 

 

Shaniqua Butler serves as an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. She received her B.S. in Accounting from Winthrop University in 2012. She graduated cum laude from American University Washington College of Law in 2017. After law school, Shaniqua served as a law clerk for two years to the Honorable John D. Geathers of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and she recently completed a clerkship with the Honorable Deborah A. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
