Proposed Amendments to DOJABA’s Constitution and Bylaws: Meeting 10/27

Due to a need to revise DOJABA’s Constitution and Bylaws, a special committee was formed to review and propose amendments to DOJABA’s operating documents.  Consistent with the requirements of DOJABA’s existing Constitution, the Executive Council now submits the proposed amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws to DOJABA’s general membership for review and comment.

A special virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST to discuss outstanding issues, questions, and pertinent comments.  Priority during the meeting will be given to those members who submit discussion topics, questions, or comments by the October 15 deadline.

DOJABA members in good standing will be eligible to vote on the proposed amendments during the November 4, 2021 general body meeting.  The Constitution and Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of those general members present at the November 4 meeting (provided a quorum is present).  Please review the Notice to DOJABA Members, and the Proposed 2021 DOJABA Constitution and Bylaws.

Please contact DOJABA’s Parliamentarian, Vivieon Jones (Vivieon.K.Jones@usdoj.gov), for the calendar invitation, and with any questions or comments on the proposed amendments by 5:00 pm EST on Friday, October 15.
