Request for Volunteer Judges: Law School 1L Appellate Arguments – April 8

The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law is seeking approximately 60 attorneys to serve as judges for its first-year-student appellate argument event on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, in Washington, D.C. 

Students will argue an appeal of a district court grant of summary judgment in favor of a hospital alleged to have “upcoded” Medicare claims in violation of the civil False Claims Act.  Volunteers will receive the bench brief, Record, and a list of suggested questions in advance.
