Volunteers Needed for DOJABA DAY 2022 – March 4

DOJABA is excited to sponsor its sixth annual DOJABA Day on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST via Zoom.  This signature event targets Black law students and graduates interested in career opportunities at the Department of Justice.  Usually, we host DOJABA Day in person for local BLSA chapters, but this year the event is open to students nationwide since it is being held virtually!  DOJABA Day is a professional development workshop that includes: (1) an information session from OARM on pursuing career opportunities at DOJ (i.e., through law internships, the DOJ Honors Program, and lateral hiring); (2) résumé and interview preparation workshop; (3) a career panel; and (4) networking sessions with DOJABA members from various components.

Since this will be the widest-reaching DOJABA Day to date, we really need your help to make this day a success!  We need volunteers to: (1) review and provide feedback on résumés via email after the event; and (2) speak with students during the networking sessions from 2:00 pm  3:00 pm EST.  Please help us represent a variety of practice areas in the Department by signing up to volunteer!

DOJABA members can register to volunteer and students can register to attend at:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dojaba-day-2022-registration-261063787817.

Please share this announcement with your alma mater’s BLSA chapter and other law student organizations. If you have any questions please contact DOJABA Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development Committee Co-Chair, Shaniqua Butler (Shaniqua.Butler@usdoj.gov).
