Training – “Executive Interviewing” Planning, Assessing and Developing (PAD) Your Career Initiative February 22, 2021

The Justice Management Division (JMD) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Staff is hosting a virtual training program titled, “Executive Interviewing” on Monday, February 22, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.  The JMD EEO Staff is coordinating this training as part of the DOJ Planning, Assessing and Developing (PAD) Your Career initiative.  The DOJ PAD is an initiative under the Federal Women’s Program that provides training opportunities for employees GS-13 and above who aspire to advance in leadership positions at DOJ.   

 

Claudia J. Postell, Acting Associate Commissioner for Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity at the Social Security Administration, will facilitate the training.  Ms. Postell, who is also an attorney, has been a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) since 2009.  She is a subject matter expert in the SES selection process who has also served on the Office of Personnel Management’s SES Candidate Review Board.  During the training, Ms. Postell will discuss best practices to prepare for and participate in an executive interview as part of the SES selection process.  She will also provide insight into what constitutes an impactful interview and what hiring managers look for during executive interviews.
