Toni Coleman is a Trial Attorney in the Educational Opportunities Section of the Civil Rights Division, where she works on school desegregation cases, among other matters. Prior to entering duty at the Department through the Attorney General’s Honors Program in October 2021, Toni was a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District in the Eastern District of Virginia. Toni spent 20 years as a newspaper, magazine, and digital journalist and nurtured her interest in law and children by serving as a Guardian ad Litem and a foster parent. She earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 2020.
