Mahogane Reed is an attorney in the Criminal Division’s Appellate Section, where she litigates criminal cases in federal circuit courts. She was previously the John Payton Appellate and Supreme Court Advocacy Fellow at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and an associate at Susman Godfrey in Houston, Texas. She also served as a law clerk to Judge Carl E. Stewart on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Brian Jackson on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
