DOJABA General Body Meeting and Stress Management Workshop

According to a poll by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research in collaboration with SAP, between 1 and 4 Americans say they have even considered quitting their jobs as worries related to the pandemic weigh on them. To add, there are many times when discrimination and microaggressions exacerbate the stress we experience as black professionals. Black professionals often feel the pressure to achieve excellence and perfection at all times. DOJABA is thrilled to have award-winning clinical therapist, Orin Howard, discuss ways that we can effectively manage stress, microaggressions, racial trauma, family responsibilities, and work-life balance in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This workshop will take place during our General Body Meeting on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 12 noon via ZoomGov.

If you would like to attend, please contact DOJABA’s Attorney Recruitment & Professional Development Chair, Roberta Roberts, at roberta.o.roberts2@usdoj.gov for the Zoom details, and we welcome you to submit any specific questions for our guest speaker in advance. Mr. Howard recommends that you listen to his podcast, Unicorns Couch, in advance of the workshop.
